Burial Grounds of Carlton (Nr, Snaith) - Monumental Inscriptions
Records of Burials in the following cemeteries
Carlton Cemetery
St. Mary's Parish Church
St. Mary's Catholic Church

Hyde Park Cemetery - Monumental Inscriptions

The largest cemetery in the Archdeaconry of Doncaster.
Please note : some inscriptions were impossible to read and others extremely difficult and, as with all indexes, the information should be verified by the researcher wherever possible. The numbers 3, 8 and 9 were particularly difficult to decipher where the stone was well worn. Some stones give no surname at all, with only a Christian name and occasionally a date; these have been recorded and listed on the introductory fiche.
Also listed are inscriptions from pots, vases and crosses which showed no surname and had no
obvious headstone. Other pots which were found on a particular grave may or may not belong to
that grave, as many had been moved around. These are recorded and entered on the plot where we found them. Many of the large headstones had fallen face down, which made them impossible to record.
Each inscription is complete and indexed in surname order.
