Location

The Palgrave Research Centre, which is in shared premises with the Doncaster Archives, is situated off the Balby Road, about a mile west from the centre of Doncaster and about the same distance from the A1(M).

Visitors by Car

Balby Road is a dual carriageway and forms part of the A630 Doncaster-Rotherham Road. Drivers coming from the town centre can drive to the traffic lights by St John's church, Balby and turn right into Greenfield Lane and then right into Florence Avenue. The premises are at the junction of Florence Avenue and King Edward Road. Use the King Edward Road Car Park entrance, except on Saturdays when the Florence Avenue Car Park entrance should be used.

Visitors by Bus

Bus X78 leaves Doncaster Interchange at frequent intervals. Visitors should alight at Westfield Park, walk away from Doncaster along the A630 (0.1 miles approx.), then turn right into King Edward Road (0.1 miles approx.).
