The City of York Family History Society will be holding its annual, which we will be attending.

Aimed at new members we will be opening our doors at the Palgrave Research Centre. Showing what recourses we have to offer. In Conjunction with Doncaster Archives who will be doing tours of their strong rooms and deposits. (Saturday 15th Only)

Each Year Doncaster & District Family History Society finds it way representing you at the Pudsey Family History Fair.

As usual we have booked a stall at one of the biggest Family History Fairs in the area. This is always a very popular event and many of our members will be there.

Doncaster & District Family History
Family History Day
09:00 – 16:00
Danum School, Doncaster

In October it will be time again for our Family History day. Joining us this year will be Gerry Burrows and a talk entitled “Grandma’s Kitchen” A light hearted look and kitchens and cooking and other household duties throughout the ages.
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission will be doing our second talk. They have provided us with a valuable source of data for family historians
In the afternoon we look at the history of English Nursery Rhymes, in a talk entitled “The Riddle of Humpty Dumpty”

Doncaster School for the Deaf

This will be our Second Family History Fair. The last one in 2007 was so popular, but we decided to hold them bi-annually with Sheffield FHS. This time we have got a bigger venue, with everyone in the same hall.
