Journal - The Winter Edition of The Ancestor to be posted overseas as normal but will also go on the Web Site as a trial run. It contains proposed changes to the Constitution.
Family History Day 2006 - This was discussed. A third Speaker still to be booked.
Membership Subscriptions in Palgrave Research Centre - This arrangement is working well.
Courses - Arranged through to May 2006. Free to members. £3 non-members.
Computer Databases - The Catalogue, Census etc are on different packages i.e. Excel, Access, Lotus Approach and Windows resulting in different versions to search. Work has started on making the databases uniform.
Census - Rutland and Leicester 1841 Census on CD now received from Archive CD Books.
Internet Access in PRC- Waiting for a response from Dr. Barber.
Message Board on Web Site - Complaints have been received from people trying to log on to the Message Board. It will not allow them to register. 505 people signed up over 3 years. 20% have signed twice. 10 people have accessed it since 1st July. Few reply. Automatic connection to Ancestry.com was suggested. This gives good results and is free.
November Monthly Meeting: Food can no longer be consumed in the main hall of the School for the Deaf. The Airport Lounge was booked so that the tradition of having mince pies and wine could continue.
AGM - Mrs Jennings will put together a talk with slides.
