Approved EC NOTES of the Committee Meeting
held on 16th November 2006

Members' Suggestions : •  To buy a particular book for the Library: The Society does not buy books for the Library. They are donated. It could open the floodgates for requests to purchase books. Books are available from the Society's bookstall.

Is the Society purchasing Census for the whole of Yorkshire ? The Society already has some census for Yorkshire . The Society has a Contract and standing order for census which should have been out by the end of the summer.

Documentation required by Archive CD Books has been sent to America by the Government. It is out of the EC's control but the matter will be reviewed at the end of the year.

An extra set of the 1881 Census is being purchased for the research room.
Miscellaneous GRO overseas index has been ordered - 12 week delivery.

Other Business :Mr Wishart had resigned from the EC. Mr Jagger was co-opted as Vice Chairman.
The role of Research Room Co-ordinator was abolished after the agreed 6 month review.
Mr & Mrs Garnett resigned from the EC.
A new CD of MIs for the NE corner of the Society's area has been produced. This includes additional information and is good value at £15.
